Newcastle United statement and thanks after Becky Langley sack decision

NEWCASTLE United Women have parted ways with manager Becky Langley.

The Magpies acknowledged Langley's "significant role" over the course of the last six years, leading the side to back to back promotions from the fourth tier to Women's Super League 2.

Langley was at the helm as Newcastle Women turned fully professional two years ago, becoming the first ever third tier side to do so, and led the team during their first ever matches at St James' Park.
