Former Chelsea player Mohamed Salah is in the headlines right now amid a difficult period at Liverpool.
Salah’s form has been called into question as Liverpool continue to struggle under Arne Slot. They are on a run of four straight defeats in all competitions, losing to Chelsea in one of those games.
Of course, to say that Salah has done well at Anfield overall would be an understatement.
He has become a legend there, bringing Liverpool supporters many happy moments. And the 33-year-old also wanted to do the same when he was at Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah wanted to make Chelsea fans happy
Chelsea sold Salah to AS Roma in 2016 before the Egyptian eventually ended up at Liverpool a year later.
Former England striker Gary Lineker recently discussed Chelsea’s decision to sell Salah, stating that there will be regrets at Stamford Bridge despite all of the success that the club have still had since his departure.
When Salah first signed for Chelsea from Basel in 2014, he was a 21-year-old who was eager to make his new supporters happy.
“I’m very happy to sign for Chelsea,” Salah said (via BBC Sport). “I hope I can make the Chelsea supporters happy and have a good career at the club for many years.”
In the end, though, he could not. His goal against Arsenal in a 6-0 thrashing of the north London club would have brought Chelsea supporters much delight, but that was the highlight of his career at Stamford Bridge.

Mohamed Salah’s mixed record against Chelsea
Unfortunately for Chelsea fans, Salah has handed them more painful moments than joyful ones. At Liverpool, he has been able to score against the Blues on more than one occasion, though his overall record in matches versus his old side is quite mixed.
In the Premier League, for example, Salah has scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 games against the Blues. However, Liverpool have drawn seven and lost four of them.

Liverpool’s next Premier League game against Chelsea will be at Anfield in May. If Salah and his side do not pick up soon, their title could be going to the Emirates instead of there.
