KC Chiefs defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott suffers ACL tear, out for season

Kansas City Chiefs rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott tore his ACL during the team’s 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, a source told The Star.

Norman-Lott was rolled up on late in the third quarter, immediately grabbing his leg in visible pain. Officials flagged Raiders left tackle Stone Forsythe for an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play.

Once Norman-Lott was to his feet, he was helped off the field by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and rookie cornerback Nohl Williams. Rookie defensive end Ashton Gillotte eventually stepped in and replaced Williams the rest of the way to the sideline.

Norman-Lott and Gillotte are connected in the fact that the Chiefs drafted them four picks apart in the second and third rounds, respectively. Kansas City believed the duo could provide long-term pass-rush upside, with their roles expected to expand as the season carried along.

As Norman-Lott turns his focus toward recovering for the 2026 season, the Chiefs are likely to fill his roster spot with practice-squad defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu. Over his five-year career, the veteran has appeared in 32 games, including two with Kansas City earlier this season.

The Chiefs also have two 2023 third-round defensive tackles on their practice squad: Zacch Pickens (previously with the Bears) and Brodric Martin (Lions).
