The Giants lost a tough one in Denver on Sunday as they dropped to 2-5 on the season.
Up three scores heading into the fourth quarter, the Giants gave up 33 points in the final frame and ended up losing 33-32 on a Wil Lutz field goal as time expired.
The Giants will look to rebound on the road this week as they head down the turnpike for a divisional rematch against the Eagles.
Here are snap counts and takeaways from Week 7.
Quarterback
Jaxson Dart – 77 offensive snaps (100 percent)
Dart took every snap for the Giants on Sunday, finishing the game with 283 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception for a 93.4 passer rating. He also added 11 yards and an additional touchdown on the ground. The rookie now has seven passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns over the last four weeks, as he became just the third rookie quarterback since 2000 to be responsible for 10 total touchdowns in his first four career starts, joining Justin Herbert and Deshaun Watson.
Running Back
Cam Skattebo – 46 offensive snaps (59.7 percent)
Tyrone Tracy Jr. – 28 offensive snaps (36.4 percent)
Devin Singletary – 3 offensive snaps, 3 special teams snaps (3.9 percent, 10.0 percent)
Skattebo once again led the backfield in snaps, touches and yards, finishing the game with 19 total touches (16 rushes, three receptions) for 94 yards (60 rushing, 34 receiving) and his sixth touchdown of the season. Heading into Monday Night Football, Skattebo leads all rookies in total yards from scrimmage (587) and touchdowns (six). Meanwhile, Tracy saw his usage increase one week after making his return from a shoulder injury in Week 6. The second-year back took nine carries for 46 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown run.
Wide Receiver
Lil'Jordan Humphrey – 74 offensive snaps (96.1 percent)
Wan'Dale Robinson – 70 offensive snaps (90.9 percent)
Jalin Hyatt – 25 offensive snaps (32.5 percent)
Beaux Collins – 6 offensive snaps, 16 special teams snaps (7.8 percent, 53.3 percent)
Gunner Olszewski – 1 offensive snap, 11 special teams snaps (1.3 percent, 36.7 percent)
Humphrey led the wide receivers in snaps played, but Robinson led the team in every other receiving category this week. Going up against an elite Broncos secondary, Robinson pulled in six receptions for 95 yards on 12 targets, while also drawing a couple of big penalties on Denver. Humphrey, Collins, and Hyatt saw a total of four targets, but did not turn them into any receptions. Collins did pick up a special teams tackle. Olszewski handled all of the returns on special teams, taking three punts for 28 yards (9.3 avg.) and three kickoffs for 85 yards (28.3. avg.).
Tight End
Theo Johnson – 68 offensive snaps (88.3 percent)
Daniel Bellinger – 52 offensive snaps, 9 special teams snaps (67.5 percent, 30.0 percent)
Chris Manhertz – 8 offensive snaps, 15 special teams snaps (10.4 percent, 50.0 percent)
Thomas Fidone II – 3 offensive snaps, 16 special teams snaps (3.9 percent, 53.3 percent)
The Giants received big performances from their top two tight ends. Bellinger caught three passes for 88 yards, a new career-high, and his first touchdown since 2022, while Johnson pulled in three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Both of the touchdowns came on pass plays of 40+ yards, as they became two of just three tight ends to score pass plays of 40 yards or more this season (Pittsburgh's Pat Freiermuth is the third). Since at least 2000, no other team has had two different tight ends record touchdown catches of 40+ yards in the same game. Manhertz and Fidone primarily played on special teams, where the rookie tight end recorded a solo tackle.
Offensive Line
Austin Schlottmann – 77 offensive snaps, 4 special teams snaps (100 percent, 13.3 percent)
Greg Van Roten – 77 offensive snaps, 4 special teams snaps (100 percent, 13.3 percent)
Jon Runyan – 77 offensive snaps, 4 special teams snaps (100 percent, 13.3 percent)
Jermaine Eluemunor – 77 offensive snaps (100 percent)
Andrew Thomas – 77 offensive snaps (100 percent)
Aaron Stinnie – 1 offensive snap, 4 special teams snaps (1.3 percent, 13.3 percent)
James Hudson III – 4 special teams snaps (13.3 percent)
With John Michael Schmitz sidelined with a concussion, Schlottmann stepped in and played every snap at center. The other four starting offensive linemen also played every offensive snap, marking the fourth consecutive game the four of them have played every snap together.
