ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels has signed a 4-year, $100 million deal with the team, according to ESPN.
Daniels was the breakout star for the Hawks last season. The Australian ended the season with 229 steals, the most by a player since the 1995-96 season. He was also the first player to average three steals per game since the 1990-91 season. His efforts earned him the nickname “Great Barrier Thief.”
He also won Most Improved Player of the Year, was named first team All-Defense and finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
The Hawks acquired Daniels in the 2024 trade that sent Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans. The contract extension keeps Daniels in Atlanta until 2030.
