David Haugh of 670thescore in Chicago, Illinois talked about how the Bears operated during the win against the Saints. The ground game and defense led Chicago to this victory. Haugh said,

“If given the choice, I would take an opportunistic defense and a strong running game waiting on Williams to arrive than having an excellent quarterback and waiting for both lines of scrimmage to shore up. Because we have seen Caleb Williams play at a high level.”

Williams only completed 15-of-26 passes for 172 yards and one interception. He was not great but will need to play better moving forward. Chicago rushed for 222 total yards in the game. DeAndre Swift rushed for 124 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown.

Kyle Monangai rushed for 81 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown. This ground game is starting to take shape for the Bears. This team is going to be a contender in the NFC if Williams can find a way to improve in Ben Johnson’s offense also.
