They know it won’t be easy, but the Indiana Pacers want to return to the NBA Finals.
Due to a bad injury and a surprising roster change, the Pacers need everyone to play to the best of their ability.
Speaking to Mark Boyle, Obi Toppin talked about how the team can fight into the playoffs.
“For us to be a great team, everybody on this team has to step up. The starting five, the next five coming in, the five that’s after that—everybody has to do ten percent more than what they did last year to help out this team get back to the playoffs,” Toppin said.

Toppin will try to do his part and give all that he can to Indiana.
Last season, he averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds, starting in four of his 79 games.
There is no doubt that he will start in even more games in the new year becaues the Pacers are without their two biggest stars.
Tyrese Haliburton is recovering from his heartbreaking injury and most people assume he will miss the entire season.
To make matters even worse, Myles Turner left the team and is now about to start his first season with the rival Milwaukee Bucks.
The Pacers will have to find a new identity but there is good news: they have several strong players who have filled supporting roles over the last several years.
In the new season, they will need to transform into main characters instead of remaining supporting cast members.
If everyone else in Indiana has the same mindset as Toppin, the Pacers could have a chance of becoming strong postseason contenders.
It will be hard, but the team is ready for that.
