The Philadelphia Eagles have yet to completely dominate on the field the same way that they did last year, when they completely dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. While the Eagles have yet to hit their stride, they still managed to outlast the Vikings on Sunday to improve to 5-2 on the season.
However, the defense is set to get a major boost, as one of the franchise’s all-time greats is making his return to the organization to try and make another Super Bowl run, according to one prominent NFL insider.
“Sources: Former Eagles standout Brandon Graham, the longest tenured player in franchise history, is finalizing a deal to rejoin the franchise this week. Graham played 15 seasons in Philadelphia and now will return for his 16th season,” [reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday evening.](https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1980421326537126285)
Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.
“If yall don’t win the Super Bowl and ruin BG’s return, I will ignore this season ever happened in his career,” one Eagles fan wrote on Twitter.
“He scared the Giants somehow still find a way to beat the Eagles even after that epic collapse. Has to come back and make sure it doesn’t happen, pretty valid,” one fan added.
“How exactly does that help the Eagles? He can’t play oline or cornerback Not to mention he’s 37 years old and been sitting on the couch for 7 months,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Graham looks when he gets back on the field.
