“He Did That To The Ref??” Broncos Superstar Suspended Immediately After Win Over Giants

The Denver Broncos pulled out an improbable 33-32 win over the New York Giants on Sunday that will be remembered for a very long time. 33 fourth quarter points broke NFL record and helped left Denver to 5-2 on the year. However, there was a suspension announced immediately after the game that shocked fans across the league.

In the excitement of Denver’s miraculous comeback, linebacker Dre Greenlaw and official Brad Allen had an odd altercation:

After the clock hit 0:00 and the Denver players ran onto the field, the seventh-year linebacker making his Broncos debut chased after Allen and appeared to be screaming at him.

As a result of his conduct, the NFL announced on Monday that Greenlaw would be suspended without pay for his unsportsmanlike conduct.

In a press release by obtained by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it was stated that Greenlaw “chased” Allen and “verbally threatened” him.

It’s unclear what sparked this interaction, but Greenlaw will now find himself unable to play again this season. Greenlaw missed the first six games due to an undisclosed offseason injury. He signed with the team for three years and $31.5 million in March, and while he does bring experience and a hard-nose style of play, the Broncos certainly haven’t seen a return on their investment
