Seattle Seahawks Reveal Game Status of Elite 2x-Pro Bowler

Seattle Seahawks superstar cornerback Devon Witherspoon suffered an MCL bruise or contusion in Week 1 despite playing every snap and missed Weeks 2 and 3. The two-time Pro Bowler returned in Week 4 but aggravated the injury after playing every single snap, resulting in him missing Weeks 5 and 6. Witherspoon was limited on Thursday and upgraded to a full participant on Friday and Saturday, prompting the Seahawks to rule him questionable for Monday Night Football.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the Seahawks have ruled out Devon Witherspoon for the third straight game and the fifth on the season against the Houston Texans. The good news is that the team will have a BYE week, giving the two-time Pro Bowler extra time to heal. Witherspoon should be ready for Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.

Julian Love suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2, resulting in him missing Week 3. The Pro Bowler aggravated the hamstring injury in Week 4, causing him to miss Weeks 5 and 6. Despite being limited in practice, the Seahawks downgraded Love from questionable to out, sidelining him for the third straight game and the fourth on the season.
