Arsenal have a couple of games coming up this week following their weekend win against Fulham in the Premier League

Arsenal have made an impressive start to the new Premier League season. They find themselves top of the table above the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool. Mikel Arteta’s side are hoping that this is the year that they can finally win the title.

The Gunners have fallen short of top spot over recent years but are looking strong at the moment. They won 1-0 away at Fulham last time out over the weekend. Winger Leandro Trossard scored their winner at Craven Cottage to help his team secure a useful three points.

Arsenal defensive and midfield injuries

Piero Hincapie: Arsenal landed the defender from Bayer Leverkusen on the final day of the last transfer window. However, he has only featured once for them since then. He has been sidelined with a groin injury and has missed the last few games. The centre-back is back in training though and could return to the squad against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Expected return date: 21/10/2025

Martin Odegaard: It has been a frustrating start to this campaign for the Gunners’ skipper. He has a collateral ligament problem and it remains to be seen exactly when he will be back available. Arteta said last week: “There's no definite date for his return, but he's evolving well. It's very unlucky what's happening with him and his injuries this season, but I think he will be back in a few weeks. It could be [after the next Int' break], but we'll have to see how he progresses. It's too early to give an answer.” Expected return date: 23/11/2025

Arsenal attacking injuries

Noni Madueke: Arsenal snapped the winger up from Chelsea this past summer. He has since made a positive impression with his new team. However, he is in the treatment room now with a knee issue. Arteta has recently shared this update regarding his condition: “He's getting closer as well. He’s going to start very soon to do some running and stuff, and then again, let’s see how that reacts.” Expected return date: 23/11/2025

Kai Havertz: The forward hasn’t featured for the Gunners since the opening day of his term against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Havertz, who is a Germany international, required surgery on his knee. Arteta won’t want to rush him back in and he will only play when he is fully ready to. His boss said last week: “It's very difficult, there's still a lot to do in his rehab. He's really pushing it. We know Kai, and that's why we love him so much, but we have to wait and see. He wants to break every timeline, I'm sure, but that's why we have to protect him and make sure that when he comes back, he comes back for the long term.” Expected return date: 23/11/2025

Gabriel Jesus: The ex-Manchester City attacker last played in January in Arsenal’s FA Cup clash against Manchester United. He tore his ACL and isn’t expected back until next year. Arteta has said: “Gabi is doing super well. I think he looks in a really good place. Obviously, it’s a massive injury, and we need to come from that in a really strong way, but certainly he’s in the right place and making very strong strides.” Expected return date: 01/03/2026
