Manchester United's surprise 2-1 victory over Liverpool has injected a new lease of life into their season when they needed it most.
Ruben Amorim's side battled valiantly against the current Premier League champions to secure their first win at Anfield since January 2016 on Sunday. Despite all of the recent speculation about his potential sacking, Amorim's men made an impressive start as Bryan Mbeumo finished clinically to open the scoring inside two minutes.
Both teams missed big chances before Cody Gakpo levelled the score with just over ten minutes remaining. Yet, it was United who delivered the final blow as Harry Maguire rose to head home Bruno Fernandes' cross and clinch all three points just minutes later.
One of the key contributors to Amorim's first consecutive league victories was Senne Lammens, as we now turn our attention to two major headlines surrounding the in-form goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old shot-stopper, who was signed from Royal Antwerp at the end of the summer transfer window for £18million, has stepped up to fill the shoes of the much-criticised and recently-departed Andre Onana. The win at Anfield marked just his second start for United, though Lammens admits he has already reaped the benefits of Amorim's managerial prowess.
Speaking about his under-fire head coach, Lammens highlighted Amorim's ability to absorb all of the pressure off his players during difficult times, which has aided the Belgian in finding his form.
Lammens said: "For me, he's always the same, I haven't been here as long as I said before, so maybe it's different for other guys, but for me as a coach he gets a lot of pressure.
"You can feel it from the outside, you can read it, you can hear it, but I think he does his best, and he does really good, try to keep the pressure on him and not on the team, he takes a lot of the pressure from us, and that's also what the great managers do."
Ferdinand identifies key traits

Despite being linked with more established names like Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa and Gianluigi Donnarumma, who eventually joined rivals Manchester City, Lammens was brought in by United during the summer. This was due to his younger age profile and relatively modest wages.
However, Lammens had to bide his time in his first month with the English giants, having been left on the bench for September's three matches in favour of the shaky Altay Bayindir. That patience seems to have paid dividends, with club legend Rio Ferdinand impressed enough by Lammens' performance against Liverpool to speak highly of the youngster.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents after the game, the former defender said: "He’s only played two games, I don’t want to get carried away, but in the two games he’s played, he’s been very dependable, and that’s the word you want with your goalkeeper."
Ferdinand used five glowing words to describe the new United goalkeeper's key strengths. "Safe, dependable, assured, assertive, calm," he said. "These types of words are what you want with your goalkeeper. Long may that continue because that then instils confidence in the back line."
Echoing the same sentiment, Sunday's match winner Maguire said post-match: "I must say I am heavily impressed by Senne Lammens. I don't want to get carried away because he is playing in the position with the most pressure, it's the most difficult position at Manchester United. But he's got everything. Great personality."
