Former Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson left on West Ham United bench
Monday night saw Wilson start from the bench as West Ham hosted Brentford at the London Stadium.
Nuno Espirito Santo suffered a dreadful defeat, losing 2-0 to the Bees as West Ham were completely dominated.
The Hammers drew a blank in front of goal, but Nuno curiously chose not to utilise Wilson.

When Nuno did make an attacking change, it was to bring on young forward Callum Marshall rather than Wilson.
Combine this with the fact that Lucas Paqueta started as a false nine in West Ham’s attack, and Wilson has received quite the snub.
The former Newcastle star hasn’t played a single minute since Nuno came into West Ham, and his lack of action in a 2-0 defeat is baffling.
Wilson is 33 and isn’t quite the player he was at his very best in a Newcastle shirt, but he still has quality in his locker.
Don’t be surprised to see Callum Wilson move on again
Wilson moved to West Ham with the idea of still playing Premier League football after leaving Newcastle.
Right now, it looks like Nuno doesn’t really fancy Wilson in the West Ham attack.
That means the veteran forward may well need to think about another move come January, with first-team football still in his mind.
There is time for Wilson to turn things around at West Ham, but his prospects under Nuno look pretty bleak for now.
Newcastle fans will wish Wilson all the best, but seeing him sitting kicking his heels as West Ham lose without scoring will leave many supporters confused.
