Conspiracy Theory

“Remember boys, Roger told us not to help the Bucs.”

Last week on the road against the Chiefs, the Lions were royally hosed by the NFL when the zebras got a call, per Lions coach Dan Campbell, from NFL HQ in New York.

The Lions had just scored a touchdown. But New York called, ordered the zebras to throw a flag on Jared Goff for illegal motion.

This was after the touchdown was scored.

The trick: Illegal motion is not a reviewable play.

Then, to rub salt in the wound, the NFL told the Lions to knock off their punching ways to knock the ball out of ball carriers’ hands.

Simply put, Campbell had his Lions enraged. As Joe suspected, the 1984 49ers could have walked into Ford Field last night and the Lions were going to win that game. It was their Super Bowl.

And just to make sure the NFL didn’t want to make it look like they stole a game from the Lions in Kansas City, conspiracy theorists are convinced the NFL had the zebras last night give Detroit the benefit of the doubt.

Well, the guy/girl/people behind the football-only Twitter feed @_MLFootball put together clips of very suspicious plays that went in favor of the Lions. Whoever is behind this account thinks the Bucs got jobbed last night.

The one play that frustrates Joe, and it apparently frustrated Baker Mayfield at the end of the game, was when he was clearly tripped. No flag.

Feel free to look at the first play in question below and be sure to click on the spool of thread graphic to watch all the plays @_MLFootball broke down.

Another NFL game and another embarrassing moment in officiating. This one was a payback to the Lions for the Chiefs fiasco last week. Not fair to Tampa
