Trent Alexander-Arnold has been handed a new BMW after effectively being banned from driving his £130,000 Range Rover to Real Madrid's training ground. The defender signed a six-year contract with Los Blancos in the summer after parting ways with his childhood club Liverpool as a free agent, though the Reds did receive an £8.4million fee for the 27-year-old to release him early from his contract.
Since then, Alexander-Arnold has found it challenging to adjust to life at the Santiago Bernabeu. That was initially due to competition from Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal, before suffering a hamstring injury which has sidelined him since September.
Another thing the right-back has had to get used to is ditching the car model he had been driving around the UK on a daily basis.
One of his preferred vehicles to drive had been a Range Rover P530, a £130,000 SUV equipped with a 4.4 V8 twin-turbo engine that delivered 530 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm.
With an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system, it could propel its more than 2.5 tonnes from 0 to 100km/h in 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph.
But since donning the famous all-white kit, Real Madrid's sponsorship agreement with BMW has prevented Alexander-Arnold from driving any other brand of car for club-related transport, such as turning up to the training ground.
Instead, the German car manufacturer provides Real Madrid players, including the women's team and basketball team, with new cars to use throughout each season.

The agreement only encompasses plug-in hybrid and electric models, which BMW later sells as pre-owned vehicles.
It is unknown which model Alexander-Arnold picked for his first few months in the Spanish capital, but he and his team-mates have reportedly now received their new BMWs for the 2025/26 season.

Having been given the freedom to pick from the entire range of the German manufacturer, most of Real's Galacticos chose the electric i7 limousine - split between the two available versions - and the plug-in hybrid XM SUV, both priced well above €100,000.
Manager Xabi Alonso, Carvajal, Vinicius Junior and talisman Kylian Mbappe went for the former. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo and Thibaut Courtois chose the latter.
Alexander-Arnold, however, went for a less popular choice with the electric iX60 with 408 hp. Also picked by Eduardo Camavinga, it happens to be the least powerful car of the bunch but still boasts a starting price of around £93,205 in the UK.
