Fabian Hurzeler will go up against the first Premier League manager he faced – and beat – when [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) visit Nottingham Forest.
The City Ground outfit have named Sean Dyche as their third head coach of the season.
He has signed a deal until the end of next season.
Dyche was previously in charge of Everton, his last meeting with Albion coming when debut-making boss Hurzeler guided his side to a 3-0 win at Goodison Park on the opening day of last season.
That was one of just five wins in 21 games the Seagulls have enjoyed when faced by one of Dyche’s teams.
But they have also only lost five – with the other 11 ending as draws.
Perhaps not surprisingly, given how Dyche sets his team up, their record against him is better away than at the Amex.
They have won three and drawn two of their last fjve games away to Dyche’s teams – Everton and Burnley.
Albion have not won any of their last eight home games against Dyche and the tally includes a 5-1 defeat to his counter-attacking Everton and a 3-0 and 3-1 versus Burnley.
Hurzeler’s men go to the City Ground on Sunday, November 30, which will be Dyche’s eighth game in charge assuming there has not been more drama by the Trent before then.
It comes three days after Forest have hosted Malmo in the Europa League and three days before they go to Wolves.
Albion will have a clear week before that match and are at home to Aston Villa on the following Wednesday.
Forest say Dyche, 54, has “the perfect blend of character, tactical acumen and proven achievement.”
