Home Tie For Whites In FA Youth Cup

Wanderers will kick off their FA Youth Cup challenge with a home tie against Chester FC in round one.

The young Whites face Chester at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday, 28th October (KO 7pm).

Admission will be £5 adults, £3 concessions and £1 children, payable by card only at the turnstiles in block D of the Kia West Stand Lower.

Julian Darby’s side enters the competition at the first-round stage, while Chester have chalked up three home wins to set up their visit to Wanderers.

The Seals followed up a 2-0 win over Curzon Ashton and an 11-0 victory over Rochdale with a 4-0 success against Liversedge Town to progress through qualifying.

Wanderers’ Youth Team has made a decent start to the season, sitting second in the EFL Youth Alliance table as they look to defend their title, although a below-strength side bowed out of the EFL Youth Alliance Cup last Saturday with a 2-0 loss at Carlisle United.

Darby's side faces unbeaten league leaders Grimsby Town at home on Saturday ahead of their Youth Cup tie, while the U17s are in action today (Tuesday) at Fleetwood in the Professional Development League Cup.
