Will Anderson Jr. scored one touchdown as one of the most decorated players in Alabama’s football history. On Monday night, he got a touchdown in the NFL, too, as a defensive end for the Houston Texans.
On a third-and-7 snap from the Seattle 7-yard line, Anderson got a strip-sack of Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold in the end zone and recovered the loose football for a touchdown with 7:24 left in the third quarter.
Anderson’s touchdown cut Seattle’s lead to 17-12.

The only two-time unanimous All-American in Alabama history, Anderson joined the Texans as the third selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Anderson won the Defensive Rookie of the Year awards from The Associated Press and Pro Football Writers of America and made the Pro Bowl in 2023. Last season, Anderson lifted his regular-season sack total to 11, then made 3.5 in two playoff games.
Monday night’s sack was Anderson’s fourth of the 2025 season.
Anderson’s touchdown at Alabama came in a 63-7 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 17, 2022, when he returned an interception 25 yards with 10:52 left in the first quarter.
