Brighton & Hove Albion striker Danny Welbeck is a huge fan of one Chelsea star.
Enzo Maresca has a squad blessed with talent, with the Chelsea manager able to call upon the likes of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
Of course, Maresca is not able to turn to the first of that trio right now. Palmer is still unavailable because of a groin issue.
However, he is able to use Caicedo, who played alongside Welbeck at the Amex Stadium.

Danny Welbeck thinks Moises Caicedo is ‘incredible’
Caicedo has got plenty of praise recently, and Welbeck is just the latest person to laud the Chelsea midfielder.
Like many, the 34-year-old thinks his former teammate is an “incredible” footballer, saying as much on the Monday Night Club.
Discussing Caicedo, Welbeck said: “I remember Moises came and then he went on loan to Belgium. And when he came back, it was just like everything clicked into place for him and he is an incredible player.
“And yeah, some players take longer than others. But I think with the club and the way that they operate and with the players that they’ve brought in over the years that I’ve been there, you always know that the players that you play with are going to have some sort of ability.”
The Ecuadorian was named on the bench for Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend. However, he started in their 2-1 win against Liverpool just before the international break and received plenty of plaudits for his display.
Caicedo scored an excellent goal and put in an impressive performance overall. Gary Neville was in awe of Caicedo’s showing, labelling him as the best midfielder in the Premier League after the match.

Chelsea and Moises Caicedo will be sick of Danny Welbeck
Despite the praise, Welbeck will not be Caicedo’s favourite person right now! In recent seasons, the former Arsenal man has proven to be a real thorn in Caicedo and Chelsea’s side.
It was only last month when Welbeck scored twice against Chelsea to inspire Brighton to a 3-1 comeback win at Stamford Bridge.
Back in the 2023/24 campaign, Welbeck also managed to net against the Blues, though Caicedo and his teammates were able to win that match 2-1.

The ex-Manchester United star’s contract at the Amex expires at the end of the season. Chelsea fans will be hoping that he does not renew it and joins a team outside of England.
