Everything turned sour for the Jets this season. They have lost seven games until now. First, they suffered a disappointing loss against A-Rod and Pittsburgh in Week 1. Then, they unexpectedly defeated the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. While everything seemed a little more stable in Week 3, they lost to the Bucs on a walk-off field goal. The performance raised questions about Aaron Glenn’s coaching decision and poor time management.
Again, in Week 7, the team lost 13-8 against the Panthers. Moreover, the head coach decided to bench starter Justin Fields at halftime after an ineffective first quarter on Sunday and go with pro Tyrod Taylor for the remainder of the game, but the team lost the game.
Finally, Fields ended the game with 6 of 12 passing for 46 yards. The offense looked dim and struggled to gain first downs, finishing with 97 yards in the first half.
When asked about the halftime move, Glen said, “I felt that it was the right time to do it. ”
This has upset the Jets’ fans, including that young boy, and the fans agreed with it.
One said, “No kids yet, but this will be my son in 20 years.”
Others commented, “Put a Falcons jersey on him, and that’s me.”
A fan remarked, “I can’t blame him. How many good players is that franchise going to squander?”
A fan chimed, “Get used to it, kid. We’re the biggest joke in the history of sports.”
Others stated, “Welcome to the club, kid. Misery loves company.”
With the disappointing start to the season, Jets fans can only hope for a miracle to happen.
