Manchester United’s youth academy continues to be one of the most productive in world football, producing top-tier talent that keeps England’s future shining bright.

With recent graduates already influencing first-team dynamics, all eyes are on the next wave of United youngsters making their mark on the international stage.

The Red Devils’ youth setup has always been a cornerstone of the club’s philosophy, with the Class of ’92 setting a precedent that today’s prospects aspire to match.

Ruben Amorim’s era at Old Trafford has seen a renewed focus on youth development, creating a clear pathway from Carrington to the first team.

As United’s senior side continues its rebuild, the club’s academy stars are beginning to represent both England and other nations at youth World Cups – and one name, in particular, is generating buzz.

Bendito Mantato, Manchester United’s rising teenage talent, has officially earned a call-up to the England squad for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar, as announced via the Three Lions website.

The 17-year-old winger has been rewarded for his impressive performances at youth level, continuing his rapid rise through the ranks for both club and country.

England head coach Neil Ryan confirmed the 21-man squad that will travel to Qatar later this month, with Bendito Mantato among those chosen to represent the Young Lions.

The team’s preparation included a recent camp at St. George’s Park, where they faced France twice, claiming a 1-0 win and a 2-2 draw.

Prior to that, they enjoyed three straight victories in September against Uzbekistan, Morocco, and Canada, all of whom will also compete at the tournament.

England’s U17 World Cup campaign kicks off against Venezuela on 4 November, followed by matches against Haiti on 7 November and Egypt on 10 November, with the Young Lions hoping to progress deep into the 48-team competition.

Mantato, born in Manchester in 2008 and of Angolan descent, has been developing steadily at Carrington.

Known for his explosive pace, tight control, and attacking flair, he’s been a standout performer in United’s academy sides.

Having represented England at U15, U16, U17, and now U18 levels, his inclusion for Qatar is another milestone in what looks to be a promising career.

While he’s yet to make his senior debut for United, Mantato’s progression is being closely watched by those within the club.

He was included in United’s pre-season squad to face Leeds United but is yet to feature in a senior game this season.

United supporters will be eager to see how he performs on the world stage, as success in Qatar could further accelerate his path toward first-team football under Amorim.
