Chelsea are closely following the progress of Como attacking midfielder Nico Paz, according to reports in Spain.
Catalan publication Mundo Deportivo reports that the Blues, Arsenal, Inter Milan and Juventus have all been taking a keen interest in the Argentinian international in recent weeks.
Paz has racked up an impressive 4 goals and 4 assists in his first 7 league appearances this season, and he has been instrumental in Como’s rise to sixth in the Serie A table.

Fabregas is a big fan of the player
Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is now the head coach of Como, and he believes that Paz possesses massive potential:

“I believe in Nico Paz, who is a champion. I am very confident about his future because I can tell when a player has the mindset to become a top player. If he continues like this, he can go wherever he wants.”
Chelsea are not the favourites to sign Paz
Como signed that Argentinian from Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, and a buyback clause was included which means that the La Liga side can re-sign the player for just €8m (£7m) at the end of the season.
If Paz continues in his current form, it is more than likely that Real will trigger their option and bring him back to Spain next year.
Obviously, if Chelsea are still keeping an eye on the midfielder, the Blues must still be hoping that won’t happen. Paz is one of the most exciting young talents in Europe, so you can understand why they are scouting him, but fans should not expect the youngster to be playing at Stamford Bridge any time soon.
