Simon Jordan could not help name dropping Everton as he unleashed on Nottingham Forest’s freshly-appointed manager Sean Dyche.
It has been the best part of a year since Everton made the managerial swap to bring David Moyes back to Merseyside.
The Friedkins did not take long to move on from Dyche, with results failing to pick up in the weeks following the takeover last December.
Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the Club’s new Head Coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos.

Everton will face Dyche and Forest twice in December when Nottingham Forest make the trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium at the start of the month.
Having spent months out of the game, the 54-year-old has finally found the right club to make his return to the Premier League with.
However, Simon Jordan has unleashed a fresh rant towards Dyche following his time with the Toffees.

Simon Jordan slams Sean Dyche after Everton exit
The former Everton boss has not been short of offers, with Rangers previously keen to bring Dyche to Ibrox following Russell Martin’s exit.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Now replacing Ange Postecoglou at the City Ground, the former Everton manager may be expected to return to a similar style of football to what Nuno Espirito Santo offered.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Jordan name dropped Everton in his assessment of Dyche’s appointment at Forest.
“Sean Dyche’s modus operandi, as much as Sean might want to protest this, and does protest it, is that he manages on a needs-must basis,” said Jordan.
“He managed Everton on a needs-must, they had no money. They were in special measures, the club was being policed by the Premier League in terms of what they could and couldn’t buy. So, they were maintaining the status quo of staying in the division.
“His de facto position, despite one outstanding season of getting Burnley into Europe, was keeping Burnley in the division. So, we’ve morphed into a position of Nottingham Forest is primarily, through default position, is to stay in the position.”
Abdoulaye Doucoure slammed Dyche’s pragmatism at Everton and even claimed it could be the reason he got the sack.
Forest are in real need of turning things around after an impressive 2024/25 campaign has been followed up by real turbulence.
Forest may endure frustrations under Sean Dyche
After being replaced earlier in the year, Moyes has made immediate improvements from Dyche’s tenure on Merseyside.
Even Dyche admitted Moyes was the right man for the Everton job.
Things could not get much worse than they did under Postecoglou, but whether Dyche can provide Everton fans what they want is another question.
Dyche’s time at Everton certainly frustrated a lot of fans on Merseyside and he will be under the pressure of Evangelos Marinakis from the start.
With European football to balance alongside a struggling Premier League campaign, Dyche certainly has his work cut out.
