Inside the Numbers: Dolphins lose 31-6 in Cleveland

Miami lost Sunday in Cleveland 31-6 to fall to 1-6 on the season. _We go Inside the Numbers, presented by BDO, to look at the most notable individual metrics, milestones and more from the Dolphins loss in rainy Cleveland._

### **_Another milestone for Achane_**

_Running back De'Von Achane continues to stand out. Sunday, he surpassed the 1,000-career receiving yardage mark as he caught three passes for 16 yards. Achane, who surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards last week against the Chargers, is the first player in franchise history to total 2,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in his first 35 games._

_More than half of Achane's 82 rushing yards came on one play, a 46-yard scamper in the first quarter. It was the 10th run of at least 40 yards in his career, the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2023._

### **_Run defense emerges_**

_The Dolphins held the Browns to 104 rushing yards on Sunday, the lowest total allowed by Miami this season. The Dolphins' defense produced a season-high nine tackles for loss, the most since the Week 12 game in 2023 against the New York Jets._

_Linebacker Jordyn Brooks had nine tackles, including one behind the line-of-scrimmage. Fellow linebacker Tyrel Dodson recorded eight tackles and his third sack of the season._

_In total, Miami's defense allowed a season-low 206 yards to the Browns._

### **_Phillips' milestone sack_**

_Fifth-year linebacker outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips sacked Dillon Gabriel in the fourth quarter on Sunday. It was the 25th sack of his career, the second most by a Dolphin since he was drafted in 2021 (Zach Sieler, 25.5 sacks)._
