Real Madrid have had a decent start to the 2025/26 season as the players have adjusted to Xabi Alonso's philosophy as they are currently leading the La Liga points table.
Apart from the 5-2 defeat against city rivals Atletico Madrid, Los Blancos have looked like the team to beat in Spain.
They are gearing up for their Champions League fixture against Juventus on October 22 at the Santiago Bernabeu before they eventually take the field in the season's first El Clasico against Barcelona.
Kylian Mbappe, who has been in exquisite goalscoring form is expected to only increase his tally for the season against Hansi Flick's Barcelona.
Ahead of the big clash, former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has taken up the responsibility to light the fire in Mbappe for the Barcelona fixture.
*"*You know very well that I am a Real Madrid until death, and I hope that Madrid wins, that my brother 'Kyky' plays a good game. I will motivate him. I often speak with him, he is at the top level, I hope he will have a great match and that the three points will stay at home," Ramos told El Chiringuito.

Currently the Spanish defender is plying his trade for Mexican club Monterrey, but his current contract is all set to expire in December.
However, he hopes to stay in Mexico as he said, "I hope to stay in Mexico, it's a country that treats me wonderfully well."
What did Xabi Alonso say about Real Madrid's Mbappe?
Mbappe has been in exceptional form since the start of the 2025/26 season and currently he is on an eight-game scoring streak, making this his best start to a season in his career.

Alonso has been all praises for the 26-year-old ahead of the Juventus clash as he highlighted that the Frenchman is not only about scoring goals.
"Not just the goals. His positive influence on the team is almost as important as his teammates following him with and without the ball. He helps us control games. He's always going to score goals. He's done it everywhere. His vital and personal moment is very good. He's very analytical and intelligent, he does things for reasons, everything fits together in his head now, and that's why he's doing so well," Alonso told reporters about the Frenchman.
Mbappe has been on the losing side in all four of the El Clasicos last season but his individual record against Barcelona has been pretty good.
He has scored five goals in these four games albeit ending up in the losing cause. He netted a hattrick in Real Madrid's 4-3 defeat in May, becoming only the third Los Blancos player to achieve such feat in an away Clasico After Ferenc Puskas in January 1963 and Karim Benzema in April 2023.
Before the Clasico, Mbappe, Alonso and Real Madrid will look to secure a win against Juventus before shifting focus on the big clash.
