“Become the No. 1 Target For Josh Allen”: NFL Analyst Believes Buffalo Bills Should Trade For…

The Buffalo Bills have a 4-2 record this season. They did not play in week seven and they will face the Carolina Panthers in week eight.

Buffalo is a potential contender this season in the AFC, and they need to make a move at the wide receiver position before the NFL trade deadline. One player on the trade market who the Bills could potentially make a move for is New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave. He is going to gage interest from a lot of NFL teams before the trade deadline passes.

Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports listed a few different NFL teams who could potentially trade for Olave. One team that could very well trade for him is Buffalo. Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Josh Palmer are the top three wide receivers on the roster.

That is not a scary wide receiver group. Adding Olave to the group would instantly make it better for the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen. Sullivan said,

“The Buffalo Bills entered their Week 7 bye on a surprising two-game losing skid. After averaging 33.2 points per game over the opening month, the losing streak has seen the offense screech to a halt, posting just 17 points per contest. A key cause of the offense going silent has been the continued lack of a true threat at the wide receiver position. Shakir topped the position group in Week 5 with just 45 yards receiving, while Palmer led the group in Week 6 with 60 yards, with the majority coming on a single 45-yard reception. Coleman is the only wideout on the roster to top 100 yards in a single game. However, that came in Week 1, and he’s recorded 45 or fewer yards in every game since. Olave would go in and immediately become the No. 1 target for Josh Allen in the passing game, and give him a weapon he hasn’t seen the likes of since Stefon Diggs. With Buffalo firmly within a Super Bowl window, they should prioritize adding a boost to the offense.”

The Bills need to do everything to help Allen out moving forward. Buffalo needs a true number one wide receiver in this offense. Olave is the number option in New Orleans at the moment and would be the number one option with the Bills.

So far this season with the Saints, he has caught 44 passes for 440 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with averaging 10.0 yards per reception. Olave has also been targeted 71 times this season. It would be a huge loss for the Saints if they traded him, but they need to potentially rebuild. This would be a huge get for Buffalo. The Bills need to trade for him because they don’t want to see him being traded to a team like the New England Patriots for example.
