Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans suffered two injuries on MNF as the star pass catcher went down in the second quarter of their loss to the Detroit Lions.
After attempting to catch a pass, he stayed down on the field for several minutes before walking off. However, he was carted to the locker room.
It was confirmed after the game that Evans had a broken collarbone and suffered a concussion.
Keep reading on Evans' status for the rest of the season.

Will Mike Evans miss games due to his collarbone injury?
While the exact number of games is unknown, Evans is going to miss a significant amount of time.

It has been reported that Evans will likely be out until the end of the season. The Bucs will surely place him on the IR, which means he'll miss at least four games, but it seems it'll be much longer than that.
This is a crushing blow to Evans, as this injury will seemingly end his streak of consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

How does this injury affect Mike Evans' fantasy value?
For some managers, there's a real chance that Evans won't play another fantasy week this season. While the exact timeline may still be uncertain, we may be fortunate even to get Evans back for the fantasy playoffs.
Even if Evans manages to return, it will take a week or so to feel confident about putting him back in your lineup, especially during the playoffs.
There's no way around it; this injury destroys any fantasy value Evans had or could have had for the rest of the season.

Which Buccaneers wide receiver should I pick up?
Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson are the only two Bucs WRs who are widely available.
I think this needs to be prefaced; these two only have actual value until Chris Godwin returns. Since we don't know when that will be, it's why you should target one of these two.
The upside of Johnson outweighs the safety of Shepard. While Shepard may get targeted at a more frequent rate, Baker Mayfield seems to be drawn to Johnson.
Johnson was targeted a season-high nine times by Mayfield, two more than Shepard. He caught 4 passes for 58 yards and yet another touchdown.
Both of these WRs are solid pickups, but I lean toward Johnson due to the big-play ability.

Buccaneers' wide receivers' fantasy outlook rest of the season
This section was purely created for Chris Godwin. No one needs to be told that Emeka Egbuka is going to explode now that Evans is out for the long haul.
However, Godwin is rostered at just 59% in Yahoo Fantasy leagues. This is far too low for the kind of ceiling Godwin will have when he returns.
In Godwin's first game back this season, he clearly was not 100%. Mayfield targeted him 10 times, even with Egbuka out there.
When Godwin got off to that insane start in 2024, he was targeted 62 times by Mayfield in just seven weeks. This was tied for the third-most in the NFL.
Bowles says Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving are "getting better" but didn't know whether either are in play to return to practice this week with a short week before Saints and a bye after that.

Head coach Todd Bowles seemed to suggest that Godwin is progressing towards a return. When he does, the volume will be too good to pass on. You can get Godwin now before it is too late.
