Not ones to rest on their laurels in terms of recruitment, Chelsea have been exploring some exciting attacking additions.
While Chelsea’s attacking arsenal is already stacked with young talent, the Blues are rarely satisfied to hold what they have.
On the ‘lower end’ of things, Chelsea are eyeing Ivan Toney as a potential depth option, and they have been looking at James McAtee, despite his recent Nottingham Forest move.
But those are additions for depth, not star quality targets. Kenan Yildiz is one for Chelsea, though his heart appears set on staying at Juventus.
Another option of similar pedigree has been on Chelsea’s radar for a while now, but he is in talks to extend his deal with a Premier League rival.

Aston Villa open talks with Morgan Rogers
Exploding onto the European stage last season, Morgan Rogers is one of England’s most exciting young talents.
Rogers just had a breakout season with Aston Villa, racking up 27 goal involvements in all competitions. That has led Villa to slap a £100 million valuation on their new star, though that hasn’t put Chelsea off a potential swoop.
But a fresh update from Sky Sports reveals that he could be extending his contract at Villa Park.
Lyall Thomas reports: “Morgan Rogers is in the early stages of discussing a new contract with Aston Villa. Positive talks have taken place about a new deal that could extend his stay until 2031.”
Not the news Blues fans will want to hear. Rogers is as elite a talent as you’ll find in the Premier League — a physical monster with all the technical ability and intangibles that make a prolific attacking midfielder.
Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer for Chelsea
Close your eyes and picture a duo of Cole Palmer and Rogers. Wow.
Both still in the early stages of their careers, they could be mainstays in the England squad for another decade.
While Rogers often plays as a central attacking midfielder, he is more than capable of operating off the left.
Despite Chelsea’s unrelenting recruitment of attacking talent, they still don’t have an established starter on that flank. Enzo Maresca has many youngsters who can fill the role, but someone like Rogers would instantly raise the ceiling of Chelsea’s attack.
Hopefully, these talks don’t stay positive, and Rogers is available either in January or the summer. Even at a nine-figure valuation, he would be a smashing buy for the club.
