Leeds United have wasted little time in securing a first professional contract for Harry Gray. The teenager has followed in his family's esteemed history with the club and repeated what brother Archie did by signing a pro' contract with the Whites.

Having last week turned 17-years-old, Gray became eligible to sign pro' terms with Leeds and has now done so after swift talks to complete what was a formality of him signing. Despite some media speculation outside of Yorkshire hinting that Tottenham Hotspur could come in for the younger Gray brother, or that Liverpool and Manchester City were considering a move, there has never been any doubt inside Leeds that the talented striker would be staying at the club.

Gray has been seen by many as the future of Leeds since he first started to make a name for himself with his academy performances two years ago. Having made his debut last season as a 16-year-old, he's made a terrific start to the new season with four goals in his first three appearances for the Under-21s in the Premier League 2 division.

Already an England Under-18s player, Gray has purposefully not been rushed into the first team by manager Daniel Farke, who made a point of not discussing the teenager or taking any questions on him until his elevation to the first team matchday squad this season.

Farke is sure to be asked about him when he addresses the media before Friday's Premier League game at West Ham, with a great deal of excitement now the player is tied down to a deal. Surprisingly, Leeds have not revealed the length of the contract, simply calling it a "long-term deal."

Gray missed a potential reunion with brother Archie before the international break because of a hip flexor issue that also denied him a place on the bench against Burnley. Farke said he hoped the teenager would be back available this week and so he could cap a momentous week with a first top-flight appearance on Friday night.
