Oliver Glasner on Zoom transfer tactic – Plus what he tells every Crystal Palace target

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has revealed what he tells every player he speaks to on Zoom to convince them to sign for the Eagles.

[Kurier have comments](https://kurier.at/chronik/oberoesterreich/glasner-jeder-soll-seine-qualitaet-in-den-dienst-des-teams-stellen/403094868) from the Crystal Palace manager today from an appearance he made at a live podcast in Austria last week.

The manager is currently hot property after a flying start to the season with Crystal Palace following their successes last season. He, of course, led the Eagles to their first ever major trophy with the FA Cup win over Manchester City.

He then added to that with the Community Shield victory over Liverpool, as well as leading Crystal Palace into Europe this season as well.

Glasner has taken the club from strength to strength, despite two years of losing their best players such as Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.

They all developed massively under the Austrian, who can also point out to other examples in the squad such as Adam Wharton, Marc Guehi and Jean-Philippe Mateta as players he’s pushed to greater heights.

What Crystal Palace targets are told

------------------------------------

That’s a key philosophy for the Austrian coach, who admits he tells prospective Crystal Palace players as much when he meets them on Zoom.

_“We do all this to support the players in reaching their potential and becoming their best selves,”_ he said.

_“I have many Zoom calls with the players we sign. Telling them our goal is to get the best possible player, each and every one of them. I tell them, you’ll have all the support you need. But only you can do it._

_“I only expect one thing: that you show up every day and give your best. And as long as we feel someone is giving their best, they have all the support from us._

_“And so, we try to create an environment at the training ground where everyone enjoys coming. Our motto is, express yourself. Live your life to the fullest to be successful together.”_
