Everton fans will have been delighted to see Jordan Pickford ink a new deal but Tim Howard has thought of one negative.
David Moyes has now seen a number of his top players commit their future to Merseyside since he returned to the club.
Landing Jarrad Branthwaite to a new deal over the summer will have been viewed as a real positive for the Friedkins.
However, there is no player at Everton more deserving of a bumper new deal than Pickford following his years of hard work between the sticks.
Charlie Austin has praised Pickford’s commitment to Everton despite some other pundits suggesting he should join a ‘bigger club’.
This is undoubtedly a huge move for the Toffees, but former goalkeeper Howard has shared one thing that is worrying him.

Tim Howard shares his big Jordan Pickford worry at Everton
The 31-year-old is earning plaudits from those across the game, with Seamus Coleman left so impressed by Pickford’s Everton service.
There are still years to come with the England number one between the sticks for the Toffees, and that is a concern for Howard.

Speaking on the Unfiltered Soccer podcast, Howard jokingly shared his concern about Pickford beating his records on Merseyside.
“I like Jordan Pickford. I’ve had great interactions with him, but I’m disappointed. I wish he would leave Everton because he’s getting really close to my records,” said the American.
“I worked hard for them. I gave everything and Jordan Pickford is going to beat all those records. He’s going to shatter them.”
Darren Bent has suggested Pickford is too good for Everton and should be playing for a side competing in Europe.
Clearly, Howard would agree with this sentiment in the sense of he would love to see his records remain intact with the Toffees.
Jordan Pickford closing in on Tim Howard’s Everton record
Ben Foster has hailed Pickford for his consistency as the England number one following some criticism from others around the game.
The 31-year-old may find himself under scrutiny as he is not playing regular European football and winning trophies like some of his England teammates.
What he does look set to do is really threaten Howard’s appearance record for Everton.
Everton career Tim Howard Jordan Pickford
Appearances 414 327
Goals conceded 454 455
Clean sheets 134 91
Pickford is clearly playing right in his prime as he remains the England number one and holding off competition from the goalkeeper of the current FA Cup-holders.
There may be issues elsewhere in the Everton side, but there will be no fans worrying about the man in between the sticks.
