For years, Jordan Love has been a subject of debate among NFL fans.
The Green Bay Packers‘ decision to take him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, even though they had Aaron Rodgers, raised some eyebrows and ultimately marked the beginning of the end of their relationship with the veteran.
It took a while before Love was given the reins, and while there have been mixed results, he’s shown more than enough to receive the benefit of the doubt.
“Jordan Love now has 20 games with a 100+ passer rating since becoming the Packers full-time starter in 2023. That is the fourth-most games with a 100+ passer rating in the NFL, per Next Get Stats,” CheeseheadTV wrote on X.

The Packers went from one legendary quarterback, Brett Favre, to the next one, Rodgers.
Of course, that’s not to say that Love will also be one of Green Bay’s all-time greats, but it gives context about the sky-high bar that Packers fans use to measure him.
That might be why some of them may not be fully sold.
Love has had some issues with turnovers in the past, and he has fallen short in some crucial moments.
But from a skill and talent standpoint, there’s a lot to like about his game.
He’s playing the best football of his NFL career this season, and maybe it’s time fans and the media finally give him the credit he deserves for the Packers’ success.
