The Philadelphia Eagles are 5-2 this season and they are preparing for another matchup with the New York Giants. Philadelphia lost to New York in week six.

The Giants offense led by quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo gave the Eagles defense problems. New York has a 2-5 record this season, but the Eagles’ coaching staff is aware that this game is going to be difficult again. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio saw Dart once already and is already preparing to face him a second time.

When Fangio spoke with the media, he was asked about what lessons he learned from the first matchup with the Giants in trying to prepare for Dart this time around. The Eagles defensive coordinator shockingly said,
“The teams that needed quarterbacks that bypassed him— they’re going to regret that.”
This was a surprising statement for Fangio. It is rare for opposing team’s defensive coordinators to have praise for a rival quarterback. It appears as if Dart is going to be the franchise quarterback for the Giants for the long haul. He has only played in four games and has caught the attention of other head coaches across the league as well. Fangio knows that stopping Dart is going to be a very hard task once again this weekend.
