Liverpool head coach Arne Slot insists his side will have no excuses tomorrow night at Eintracht Frankfurt despite a delayed flight hitting their pre-match preparations

Liverpool's preparations for their Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt were thrown into disarray when their flight to Germany was delayed by almost four hours on Tuesday. The Reds were left stranded at Liverpool John Lennon Airport after the plane on which they were scheduled to travel for Wednesday's clash against the Bundesliga side suffered technical issues.
The flight eventually left Merseyside shortly before 8pm with Liverpool unable to attend the usual pre-match media conference, which was scheduled to take place in Frankfurt at the stadium at 6.30pm UK time.
By not attending the conference at the Deutsche Bank Arena, the Reds - who are aiming to avoid suffering a fifth consecutive defeat for the first time since 1953 - could now be fined by UEFA after breaching Article 48 of the competition's rules.

The regulation states: “The clubs must arrange for their teams to arrive on-site by the evening before the match concerned at the latest, and in time to fulfil their media obligations the day before the match.”
The final decision will be taken by a disciplinary body should the UEFA match delegate choose to include the incident in their report.
However, with Liverpool blameless for the technical difficulties, it's unlikely there will be any consequences for the Anfield side.
"No, it will not impact the build-up to tomorrow's game," said Reds boss Arne Slot, speaking before the flight eventually departed.
"We have trained over here at the AXA (Training Centre).
"Normally we would have gone to Frankfurt a few hours earlier, now we are a few hours later. But, no, that can never be an excuse for the game tomorrow."
