Manchester City star Erling Haaland has on Tuesday secured for himself a piece of goalscoring history.
This comes after the Norwegian kept alive nothing short of a remarkable stretch of form in front of goal.
Man City are currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Spanish outfit Villarreal.
The aforementioned Erling Haaland, as expected, was afforded a starting berth in the clash, from his customary berth at centre-forward.
And it didn’t take the former Borussia Dortmund man at all long to make his impact felt…
With 17 minutes on the clock, Haaland opened the scoring, to prolong a frankly incredible recent goalscoring run.
All told, the 25-year-old has now found the net in each of his last 12 appearances across all competitions.
This marks a record-equalling streak, with Haaland having levelled Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo in the history books.
*Note* – Lionel Messi at one point famously scored in 21 matches on the bounce, but this streak was restricted to La Liga.
