Pep Guardiola’s men made a bright start in Spain, coming close twice in quick succession inside the first three minutes, with Jeremy Doku’s shot being saved well by Luiz Junior, before Haaland headed wide from a promising position inside the box.

Shortly before the interval, we doubled the lead as the lively Savinho crossed expertly for captain Bernardo to accurately head into the corner from eight yards.
We controlled the game after the interval with Haaland coming close on multiple occasions to doubling his tally on the night, whilst the hosts clattered the post in the final few minutes through Tani Oluwaseyi’s header.
However, we remained professional and rigid at the back to claim the three points, meaning we have two wins and one draw from our opening three League Phase encounters.
