Chelsea welcome Dutch side Ajax to Stamford Bridge in the Champions League group phase on Wednesday.
Enzo Maresca’s side were beaten 3-1 by German champions Bayern Munich in their first match of the European campaign, but picked up their first win when they hosted Jose Mourinho’s Benfica last month.
The Blues currently sit 19th in the Champions League table, but Maresca will fancy his side’s chances of picking up all three points against an Ajax side that have lost both games in the competition so far this term.
Off the pitch, it has emerged that Chelsea are set to battle it out with two of their fiercest rivals in the race to sign a prolific striker.
As per TuttoJuve via CaughtOffside, both the Blues and Premier League rivals Manchester United are interested in Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, however Tottenham Hotspur are currently among the frontrunners to sign the player.

The report claims that Chelsea and United are both among the clubs to have shown interest in the Serbia international, however Spurs are currently believed to be in pole position to complete the signing.
Vlahovic, 25, has scored 62 goals in 154 games for Juventus since joining the Old Lady from fellow Italian side Fiorentina back in 2022.
The Serb has been linked with a move away from Turin previously, though, and the report suggests that he could soon be on his way to the Premier League with several clubs showing interest.
Chelsea’s interest in the striker comes despite the arrivals of both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap during the recent transfer window, while Man United are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements amid Joshua Zirkzee’s struggles since arriving at Old Trafford.
Vlahovic, who has been capped 40 times by Serbia at international level, is under contract with Juventus until the end of the current campaign.
