George Kittle joked about giving his teammate Kyle Juszczyk's wife Kristin a "backup wife hug" after his wife Claire was MIA on the sidelines

George was seen asking Kristin where Claire was, before shrugging and giving her a hug before the 49ers played the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 19

Kristin joked in an Instagram Story that she's the "first team alternate" for backup wives

Claire Kittle left her husband George hanging after the San Francisco 49ers' win.

Before George, 32, and his teammates defeated the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 19, the 49ers star was seen looking for his wife, 30, on the sidelines at Levi's Stadium for a hug before kickoff.

In a video shared on social media, George is seen having to resort from a hug from his teammate Kyle Juszczyk's wife Kristin, who was ready to wish him good luck when Claire was MIA.

The video shows George approaching the friends and family section on the sidelines, asking, "Where's my wife?" before shrugging and hugging Kristin, who has become a popular designer after stars like Taylor Swift, Simone Biles and Brittany Mahomes have been seen in her wares.

Kristin laughs and tells George she doesn't know where his wife is before he continues looking for Claire.

The 49ers star did find a familiar face on the sidelines, however, in actor and wrestler CM Punk. The two exchanged a handshake and pleasantries before San Francisco's win over Atlanta on Sunday.

After the moment circulated on social media, George reposted it and wrote, "@kriztinjuszcyk thank you for the backup wife hug!"

Kristin shared it too, adding, "First team alternate," with a laughing emoji.

Claire, meanwhile, nodded to the close friendship she and her husband share with the Juszczyks by posting a photo of George and Kyle from Sunday's win, which also marked George's first game since his hamstring injury in Week 1.

Before the game, George said on the broadcast, "I love football, so watching from the sidelines is not very fun. Getting to be back in it, it's fantastic."
