The NBA season kicks off on Tuesday night with many players hoping to earn coveted end-of-season awards.
But the stars who won last year will be celebrated in a new and unique way.
Certain players will wear gold logo jerseys this season.
Those players are Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs, last year’s Rookie of the Year, as well as Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers (Defensive Player of the Year) and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (MVP).

These players are coming off their best seasons yet, but they are still looking to prove something.
Castle and his Spurs are hoping that they can finally return to the playoffs, led by a healthy and motivated Victor Wembanyama.
Mobley will be a centerpiece of his Cavaliers as they try to convert a strong regular season into a powerful playoff run, something that has eluded them for years.
As for Gilgeous-Alexander, he may have the most on the line because his Oklahoma City Thunder are trying to be named back-to-back champions at the end of the season.
Obviously, Castle cannot win Rookie of the Year again, but these three could all be contending for new awards in a few months.
But even if they don’t, these gold logos will bring them special attention, at least for a few more months.
It’s never too early to start predicting who will be named this season’s Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and MVP.
No matter what happens with Castle, Mobley, and Gilgeous-Alexander, they will be three of the most talked-about players in 2025-26.
