Week 7: Stanford in the NFL

Week 7 brought a few breakout performances and highlight-reel moments from Stanford alumni across the NFL — including one vintage Christian McCaffrey ’18 night and a pair of end zone visits from former Cardinal tight ends.

**Standout Performances**

**Christian McCaffrey ’18 (RB, San Francisco 49ers)** — McCaffrey looked every bit like his All-Pro self under the Sunday night lights, carrying 24 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 72 receiving yards on seven catches in a 20–10 win over Atlanta. His explosive performance marked his best outing of the season and was reminiscent of his dominant days on The Farm.

**Austin Hooper ’17 (TE, New England Patriots** — Hooper turned back the clock with a strong red-zone showing, hauling in two receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown in New England’s 31–13 win over the Tennessee Titans. His leaping third-down grab over a defender was featured among the NFL’s Redzone top plays of the day.

**Thomas Booker IV ’22 (DT, Las Vegas Raiders)** — Despite Las Vegas’ 31–0 loss to Kansas City, Booker was a bright spot defensively, racking up six tackles (two solo, four assists). The Raiders’ offense struggled mightily, but Booker’s effort stood out in the trenches against an elite Chiefs offense.

**Justin Reid ’19 (S, New Orleans Saints)** — Reid filled the stat sheet with six tackles (four solo) and a pass defended (PD) in the Saints’ 26–14 loss to Chicago, anchoring the New Orleans secondary despite the defeat.

**Dalton Schultz ’18 (TE, Houston Texans)** — Schultz was a key contributor for the Texans offense on Monday Night Football with nine receptions on 10 targets for 98 yards in a 27-19 loss to the Seahawks.

**Other Notable Contributions**

* **Colby Parkinson ’19 (TE, Los Angeles Rams)** – Three receptions for 47 yards in a 35-7 win over the Jaguars.

* **Zach Ertz ’13 (TE, Washington Commanders)** – Three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown in a 44–22 loss to Dallas.

* **Elijah Higgins ’23 (WR, Arizona Cardinals)** – One reception for three yards in a 27–23 loss to Green Bay.

* **Michael Wilson ’22 M.A. ’22 (WR, Arizona Cardinals)** – Three receptions for 40 yards in the same game against the Packers.

* **Joshua Karty ’24 M.S. ’26 (K, Los Angeles Rams)** – five-for-five on extra points, no field goal attempts, in the Rams’ 35–7 win.

* **Ethan Bonner ’23 (DB, Miami Dolphins)** – Three tackles (one solo, two assist) in a 31–6 loss to Cleveland.

* **Kendall Williamson ’23 (DB, Los Angeles Chargers)** – One assisted tackle in a 38–24 loss to Indianapolis.

* **Curtis Robinson ’20 (LB, San Francisco 49ers)** – One solo tackle in the 49ers’ win over Atlanta.

* **Elic Ayomanor ’26 (WR, Tennessee Titans)** – Two receptions for 29 yards in a loss to New England.

* **Jake Bailey ’19 (P, Miami Dolphins)** – Four punts averaging 47.3 yards, with a long of 50 and one inside the 20 in the Dolphins’ loss to Cleveland.

**By the Numbers**

Stanford alumni combined for over 500 offensive yards, 41 total tackles and four touchdowns in Week 7. Between McCaffrey’s dominant primetime performance, strong defensive showings from Booker and Reid and end zone appearances from Hooper and Ertz, it was one of the Cardinal’s strongest collective weeks of the season so far.

Come back next week to see how your former Cardinal are doing in the NFL.
