Travis Kelce has been busy. He announced his engagement to Taylor Swift in August, kicked off another Kansas City Chiefs season in September, and still somehow found time to expand his growing empire. On Tuesday, October 21, JANA Partners announced a new business partnership with the Super Bowl champ as part of its latest investment in Six Flags Entertainment.
"I am a lifelong Six Flags fan and grew up going to these parks with my family and friends," Kelce, 36, said in the official press release. "The chance to help make Six Flags special for the next generation is one I couldn't pass up." The deal gives JANA a roughly 9 percent stake in the amusement-park operator, with the NFL star joining big-name execs Glenn Murphy and Dave Habiger to help shake things up.

To double down on the news, Kelce shared the announcement on Instagram with the caption, "To all my fellow theme park and amusement park lovers. I have some exciting news!!! Couldn't pass up the opportunity to continue the tradition and make Cedar Point and Six Flags even more special for the next generation of families! Excited to partner with JANA Partners as an investor in Six Flags. So crazy to even imagine this is real, but you gotta love it when life comes full circle."
The post instantly exploded with comments. The New Heights podcast account, which Travis co-hosts with his brother Jason, teased, "Kelce Coaster coming soon 👀." Fans ran with it. "You're doing exactly what I would do if I were rich and famous!" one wrote. "Just when I think I couldn't love you more," another added. Some took playful aim at his fiancée. "Can we get a ride called ‘Cruel Summer'?" one fan joked, while another chimed in, "All new coasters made from the finest REDWOOD 😏," a clear wink to Swift's Showgirl track "Wood."
if you would have told me a month ago, that a taylor swift lyric that gets stuck in my head goes: "redwood tree it ain't hard to see his love was the key that opened my thighs" i would have laughed at you

But while theme-park fans were hyped about the All-Pro tight end's latest power move, others were busy side-eyeing his other business venture. His Kansas City steakhouse with Patrick Mahomes, 1587 Prime, has been making headlines since opening mid-September - and not for the reasons he'd hoped. Business Insider detailed an $800 group dinner bill that went viral across social media, while The Cut's review chronicled a $241 check for two people that "cost more than my monthly electric bill." Menu prices run into the high hundreds, with some cuts reported at $345 for a 40-oz wagyu tomahawk.
Online reactions piled up as fast as the bills.
"$800? Nah, fam. I'm good. No meal is worth that," one Redditor said.
"I will not be spending $157 on a ribeye. Or $16 on mushrooms. I predict this steak house doesn't last long. Because of the prices," another wrote on Instagram.
"Too bad. Chiefs Kingdom is working class people that cheer them on every week, win or lose. Wish they would have made it more affordable," chimed in a third.
"You lost me at the $150 pre sliced ribeye. You're over $400 with tip and one of you ate a burger," someone else added.
"That's incredibly overpriced for some mid looking food," pointed out another.

Still, 1587 Prime remains one of Kansas City's most sought-after reservations. The 35-year-old "Actually Romantic" singer and Travis were even spotted dining there earlier this month after a Chiefs win, with fans snapping photos outside. The restaurant's business-casual dress code - with an exception for Chiefs gear on game days - has become part of its lore, giving locals yet another reason to debate whether it's an over-the-top flex or a Kansas City must-do.

Meanwhile, the football icon's empire keeps growing. He's juggling his American Eagle collab, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Prime Video, and an acting turn in Ryan Murphy's Grotesquerie.
And while he's stacking new ventures, Swift's in her own record-breaking lane. Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropped October 3 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
