Man United could be missing one name against Brighton, whereas the Seagulls could be missing six names.

Ruben Amorim will be delighted heading into next week with his Manchester United side winning 2-1 against Liverpool last time out at Anfield to hand the Red Devils a third win in their last four matches.

Next weekend, United have a chance to make it three wins in a row for the first time under Amorim, and one step closer to handing a viral United fan the chance to cut his hair. Their next game comes against Brighton, who recently beat Newcastle United 2-1 at the Amex Stadium.

However, heading into the game, United could still be missing a key player who has been injured for a long period of time. Meanwhile, Brighton could be without six names, including star winger Kaoru Mitoma, which would be a huge boost for Man United.

Brighton injury news

Firstly, centre-back Adam Webster remains out with a long-term knee injury that he suffered in pre-season. The defender is expected to be out for the rest of the season, which came as a huge blow for Brighton at the start of the year.

Other long-term absentees include Solly March, who is set to be out of action until mid-December with a knee injury that he suffered in August. Jack Hinshelwood has also been ruled out against United with an ankle injury that he suffered in September; he is due to be out until November.

In terms of players in doubt for Brighton, Joel Veltman is hopeful of a return from his calf injury. He is back in training and currently being assessed ahead of the Seagulls’ trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Kaoru Mitoma is also a doubt. He missed their game against Newcastle with an ankle injury. He is back in training too, and will more likely feature in some capacity against United rather than being ruled out. Attacking midfielder Brajan Gruda is also dealing with an injury to his knee, he is being assessed too.

Man United injury news

For Man United, things are looking very good injury-wise, as two doubts have been deemed fit ahead of the Brighton game. Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven were both doubts heading into the game against Liverpool, but they were fit enough to be named in Amorim’s squad on the bench.

However, neither player appeared, but it is understood they are now back to full fitness and could feature against Brighton next weekend should Amorim choose to either start them or bring them off the bench.
