'I feel sorry for you' - Viktor Gyokeres destroys Micah Richards with brutal comment

Viktor Gyokeres is as sharp with a microphone in hand as he was in front of goal for Arsenal on Tuesday.

The Swede capped off a rampant 13-minute spell for the Gunners in which they put Atletico Madrid to the sword at the Emirates Stadium.

Centre-back Gabriel kick-started the four-goal drubbing in the 57th minute with a header before Gabriel Martinelli doubled the hosts' advantage shortly after.

Gyokeres then got in on the act with two goals in the space of three minutes to emphatically snap a goal drought that had lasted 38 days for club and country.

The 27-year-old's brace lifted his season tally of goals for the Gunners up to five from 12 games across all competitions.

Thanks to his double against Atletico Madrid, it was only fitting Gyokeres was a wanted man when it came to post-match interviews.

So when Gyokeres popped up on CBS Sports' coverage, the panel of Kate Scott, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Clint Dempsey made the most of their time with him.

How Gyokeres feels about wearing iconic shirt number for Arsenal

Given Gyokeres sports the No. 14 at Arsenal, the same number which Henry made iconic during his legendary stint at the club, Carragher asked the Swede whether there was an 'expectation' when he wears the shirt.

"Yeah, I think it feels great to be honest," Gyokeres said.

"It feels like there's a lot of goals in that shirt and there's a lot of goals to come."

Micah Richards, who provided coverage for CBS at the Emirates and was stood next to Gyokeres during the interview, seized the opportunity to secure a memento from the latter.

"Did you not bring me a shirt out?" Richards said.

"I thought you were going to bring me a shirt."

Gyokeres replied: "You have to ask first."

Richards duly obliged and asked: "Well, can I have a shirt, mate?"

Gyokeres was more than happy to make Richards' wish come true, but he would quickly turn the tables on the former Manchester City defender.

Gyokeres rips Richards with hilarious response to question

As is almost customary when a player is interviewed by the CBS crew, Richards asks them who their favourite on the show is.

Unfortunately for the 13-time England international, a brutal response from Gyokeres awaited.

"Obviously I feel a little bit sorry for you because you got benched in the studio," Gyokeres said.

The Gunners ace's cheeky quip left the likes of Carragher, Dempsey and Henry in stitches while Richards could only smile through the pain.

"He's killed you twice," Carragher said.

Richards added: "Oh my god. This is not going very well, is it?"

Gyokeres will look to continue his goalscoring run when Arsenal return to action on Sunday at home against Crystal Palace, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm.
