Fans react to Packers’ huge Josh Jacobs announcement before Week 8 Steelers game

Josh Jacobs was instrumental in the Green Bay Packers’ come-from-behind 27-24 win in Glendale last Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.

He gave Green Bay’s offense a big lift, especially in the second half, where he rushed in a game-tying touchdown run and the go-ahead score with under two minutes left in regulation.

Overall, the former Alabama Crimson Tide running back racked up 55 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the Packers announced that Jacobs has established a new career high for the longest streak of at least two rushing touchdowns, which is now at three games following his performance against the Cardinals.

Moreover, Green Bay noted that over the last 20 seasons, only Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson has a longer such streak.

Here are some of the reactions from the fans to Green Bay’s post about Jacobs:

“Let’s get him 1 more🙌”

“Josh Jacobs has changed my life”

“You can tell his calf was bothering him, and he still ran like his job was on the line!! 🔥”

“Josh Jacob’s always been better than aaron yall just copping still for sum reason 😭”

“I still miss Aaron jones… but getting Josh eases the pain”

Can Jacobs keep that streak going in Week 8 when the Packers play the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road? For what it’s worth, the Steelers are just 19th in the league with 23.3 points allowed per game and 28th with 374.7 total yards surrendered per contest.

However, Pittsburgh’s defense seems to be tough to deal with in the red zone, as the Steelers own the fifth-best defensive red zone conversion rate of 47.83 percent.
