FS1 host Colin Cowherd has come under fire from fans after a claim he made about the Green Bay Packers’ offense following the team’s close 27-23 win against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale last Sunday.
“Green Bay can’t really, run, they’re not really getting a good push on the offensive line,”Cowherd said in a recent episode of The Colin Cowherd Podcast (h/t Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing). “I don’t feel they run it, so they’re very bad on third down. They can’t extend offensive drives.”
The problem with what Cowherd said is that it’s just false to say that Green Bay is “very bad” when it comes to executing on third downs. In fact, Green Bay is not just one of the best, but is the No. 1 team so far in the 2025 NFL regular season with a 49.33 percent success rate on third downs.

Maybe Cowherd only had the Cardinals game in his mind when he talked about Green Bay’s third-down efficiency, as the Packers went just 3-for-10 in such situations in that contest.
Whatever Cowherd was trying to say, fans did not let his statement slide without giving him a piece of their mind.
“It’s almost as if he makes [expletive] up.,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “Cowherd does not watch sports. He shows up and wings it daily.”
From a commenter: “With Mike Francesa’s move exclusively to a podcast, Cowherd became the worst gasbag in sports broadcasting”
“My eye / ear test with these hosts and analysts is that 90% of them have no business having a platform,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “How many games of Packers Colin actually watched this season over 1.5 or under? 🤣”
Said another: “Idk how this dude made a career in sports talk radio. Lol. His voice is grating and he’s almost always wrong lol”
