It was a night where Newcastle let out all the frustration of their season so far and when things finally clicked in the attacking third.
Eddie Howe's side were magnificent as they ran out 3-0 winners over Benfica in the Champions League. Anthony Gordon opened the scoring before a Harvey Barnes brace put the seal on an important three points.
Newcastle's wingers had come in for some criticism for their lack of goals and assists this season but Gordon and Barnes, alongside Jacob Murphy who grabbed an assist, rose to the challenge to inspire a second consecutive Champions League win.

It was a performance the Magpies have been threatening all season but have not quite managed to piece together but the way in which they dismantled Jose Mourinho's side, particularly in the second half, felt like it could be a turning point for the season.
Certainly that was the sentiment of United captain Bruno Guimaraes on Instagram after the win as he insisted: "This is the NUFC I know."
Jacob Ramsey made his Champions League debut for Newcastle and impressed on his return to the starting XI. He posted on Instagram: "A strong UCL win. Buzzing to be back on the pitch with the boys. What an atmosphere tonight."
Kieran Trippier also reacted on social media, as he posted: "Champions League nights at St James Park. What a feeling!!"
Newcastle now sit in seventh place in the Champions League table, with a top eight finish securing direct passage to the last 16 of the competition.
