Interestingly, Rashford played as a central striker – a position he often struggled to make an impact in during his time at Old Trafford.
It means that in 12 appearances this season, Marcus Rashford has now scored five goals and provided six assists for his loan side.

After the full-time whistle in Barcelona, Rashford spoke about how much he is enjoying his loan spell in Spain.
Speaking to DAZN, he said: “Of course, it’s a very easy team to enjoy the football. I’m pleased with the performance. I think we used the spaces better, it’s difficult with 10 men, but we still had to do it.
“We used the spaces well and the timing was better in the second half. I think the first half, the two goals were excellent, but in the second half I feel we could score some more.”

It is a frustrating thing for United fans to hear from Rashford given how deflated he looked during his final few years in Manchester.
Rashford’s body language at United was poor, and it was often spotted by pundits. As quoted by the Daily Mail, Alan Shearer once said: “It looks like hard work for him. He doesn’t seem to be enjoying his football as much.
“It looks as if everything is a chore.”
Man United still made correct Marcus Rashford decision
With Rashford flying at Barcelona this season, it’s easy to look at his goals and assists and question why United allowed him to leave this summer.
But context is important, and Amorim was right to question Rashford last season given his poor performances and attitude.
Rashford called United an ‘inconsistent environment’ over the international break, sparking backlash from pundits and fans.

Ultimately, he wasn’t performing at United, and he wasn’t in the right headspace to turn things around.
Barcelona might not be able to afford Rashford in the summer, which would pose huge questions about his future, but a return to United seems to be off the table.
