Aston Villa are now ready to offer Morgan Rogers a new deal, after rejecting approaches from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the summer transfer window, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter.
Rogers has become a key player for Unai Emery since his arrival from Middlesbrough, and naturally, clubs in the Premier League have shown an interest in securing his signature. The England international has dropped off this season, alongside multiple Villa players, but he bounced back at the weekend with a goal against Tottenham.
Rogers' current deal at Villa Park isn't set to expire until 2030, while he only put pen-to-paper on an extension back in November last year. Due to the interest in Rogers ramping up, Villa are now hoping to offer the former Middlesbrough man yet another new contract.

Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano has confirmed that Aston Vila rejected approaches from Tottenham and Chelsea during the summer transfer window, and they are now ready to offer him a new deal. Initial talks have taken place, but there is nothing advanced as of yet.
"Villa rejected enquiries from Spurs, Chelsea and more clubs last summer so they're now ready to offer him a new deal. Initial talks took place, nothing advanced as of today but Villa are trying. Cash and McGinn will sign new deals soon."
Romano also confirms that Matty Cash and John McGinn will sign new deals soon. GIVEMESPORT sources recently confirmed that Villa have reached an agreement with Cash over a new contract, which is set to keep him at the club until 2029. The Midlands club are set to announce Cash's new deal soon, while GIVEMESPORT also understands that they want to tie down Rogers.
With the transfer window closed, Villa are clearly putting their focus on keeping some of their key players at the club. McGinn and Cash appear to be close to putting pen-to-paper, and Unai Emery's side will be hoping that Rogers follows in their footsteps in the near future.
Although Rogers hasn't hit the heights expected of him this season, he's still undoubtedly one of their most talented players, and they'll be hoping to fend off interest from clubs such as Tottenham and Chelsea heading into 2026.
