Borussia Dortmund striker Fabio Silva has admitted he had something of a wobble after joining from Wolves this summer.

Silva joined Dortmund late in the summer transfer window, having pushed for a departure from Wolves throughout the summer.
He had made it clear that he did not want to stay at Molineux. That came after five years of various loan deals away from the club.
The fact that he had entered the final year of his deal at the club made an exit easier to secure.
Silva finally got that when Dortmund came in for him. A €22.5m deal was agreed with Wolves at the end of August.
The striker had to wait for his debut, though. Dortmund had signed him despite him being injured, which caused controversy at the time. There were some claims that Silva and his team had hidden the injury to ensure they got the departure from Wolves over the line.
It wasn’t the best of starts from a player PR perspective.
Silva has since bit back at those claims but admits he was left sad that he couldn’t hit the ground running at Dortmund.
“We decided that I needed to get fully fit first,” he said.
“That’s why I was a bit sad at first that I had to watch a few games. We sat down together and worked out a plan. Now, I also realise that this path was a good idea.”
