With the return of the NBA came the return of a popular DraftKings promotion.
King of the Court is back for another season.
The KOTC promo puts together a bonus bet pool, in opening night's case of $2 million. Interested bettors opt in to the promotion, then play a player prop bet on one guy playing that night.
If the player who was bet on proceeds to lead the evening's slate of games in PRA (points + rebounds + assists), that player is deemed King of the Court.
DraftKings then divvies up equal bonus bets from the $2 million pool to everyone who wagered a player prop on the King of the Court.
Opening night of the NBA season had just two games, Rockets-Thunder and Lakers Warriors, so there weren't a ton of players to choose from.

Who won King of the Court?
The Oct. 21, 2025 winner of King of the Court was Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers.
He finished with 43 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. That adds up to 64 PRA.
The runner-up was Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets, who put up a 57 PRA in the first game of the night and likely would've been a strong sleeper win worth a bigger bonus bet.

Doncic was almost certainly the most popular play on the slate. The amount that the bonus bet comes out to will depend on the raw total of people who participated and picked Doncic.
Last season, DraftKings usually awarded the bonus bets into accounts around 10 a.m. ET.
